I have always loved horses ever since I was little and at the age of 3yrs old I asked my parents if I could take riding lessons. All the riding schools had an age requirement of at least of 5yrs old. So on my 5th birthday I got my first riding lesson and since that day I have ridden ever since. I rode western for 2yrs and then switched to English. By the age of 9yrs old I was training the younger horses around that needed finishing in leg cues, on the bit and needed a steady hand and a good seat in English. And started riding different people's horses ranging from amateur AQHA green reining stallions to the mares that only had a couple of rides on them. My instructor recommended a green horse with a good mind. I had many people offer horses they would sell me but I never had a bond with them. then I saw a 7yr old green broke appaloosa mare with 3 rides on the Internet for sale and I new I had to have her we went to see her and I begged my mom 8 months for her and then 12:12PM on Easter a 5 horse featherlike trailer pulled up and out came Annie the first thing I said is” mom is she really mine.” What so many would consider a fairy tale ending. It turns out a 7yr old green broke appaloosa mare is not as easy to work with as one might think she had some really bad issues to work out but by the end of that summer I was riding her bareback with a halter and lead rope with 4 kids on her back out on trails, swinging tarps, cracking whips and doing flips off her back. And the rest is history.
I always wanted to succeed and train in more than one discipline in the equine sports so I have taken privet lessons in Dressage, Speed Events, Reining Pleasure and general all around lessons. And at the age of 15 trained one of the Top Ten Dressage Appaloosas in the world with ACAAP. And now I am currently giving lessons from the vary young to the older horse lovers around and finishing horses in a verity of disciplines ranging from family horses, trail horses, dressage horse, reining work and lesson horses.
